Binghamton is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Binghamton is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Stopped in for the first time and we did enjoy ourselves. The place has amazing visual appeal and I was excited to try it out. If I could give it 3.5 stars I would. The food was great, the service not so much. We sat at the bar, and were the only two people sitting there. Unfortunately the bartender was more interested in her cell phone than tending bar. For only 3 tables with guests, and only the two of us at the bar (9 people total), it took forever for our order to come out.

Vault 168 was okay, but not really our "shade of gold". We visited Vault 168 on a weekend evening between 6 and 9pm. The establishment was not very busy. Of the current downtown restaurants, Vault 168 is one of the few we hadn't visited yet, and we decided to see what it was all about. We opted to sit at the bar to eat. During this visit, staff were friendly and attentive to our needs and wait times were perfectly acceptable between being greeted, ordering, and receiving our meal. Vault 168, from what I gather, is situated within what used to be an old downtown bank, thus the theme of the restaunt. Some of this concept is very interesting, like the network of tubes that carry drinks from the bar around the restaurant. I personally find gold to be a color that should be very subtle in its usage, so for me the gold theme in this restaurant, while not overbearing, wasn't my cup of tea. On this visit we ordered the Water Steet Cheessteak and the Bacon Reserve Smash Burger as our mains, and opted away from cocktails on this visit due to overall price. This is going to become somewhat of a theme here. The food costs at Vault 168 are a bit higher than other establishments downtown, an

I really enjoy coming here. The atmosphere is prefect for a soft night. You can dress up and feel right in place. Great place to pre game if you’re going out or just hang with your friends without it being too much. I love that they have a mocktail menu and a late night appetizer menu! Service is inviting and very nice.

It's trying too hard to be something it's not. I like the concept of this place, but the execution makes it feel like a cheap gimmick. It presents itself as a fine establishment with premium prices and drinks, but what you get is far from that. We just ordered drinks. We ordered a Vault Manhattan and a Strawberry Securities. The Manhattan was okay, but the square ice cube filled most of the space in the glass. There was very little cocktail. The strawberry drink tasted like it was made from a cheap powder mix like crystal light instead of strawberry puree, as the menu stated. This isn't acceptable when our drinks are $14-$15 each. I expect quality for that price. Additionally, there was a fee for using a credit card (which is fine, I understand), but it wasn't disclosed. We realized it after our card was charged and the credit card receipt was higher than our tab.

I saw a video on Instagram with their flying cocktail and had to come try it when I saw they were soft opening. We had a few cocktails on the menu and they sent it through the shaker tubes for us & we could watch that thing go around & around all night. Such a cool idea & the drinks were reasonably priced & looked & tasted great. But what we really need to talk about is the birria taco, which was the best birria I’ve ever had. Guacado needs to hire whoever makes the birria because they don’t know what birria even is. proof that simple wins. just onions and cilantro, but the flavor was insane. the meat was fall-apart tender, soaked in that deep, rich birria broth. no gimmicks, just done right. I wanted to take one to order to go and they weren’t planning on doing takeout and had no boxes and the server told me the manager ran to a neighboring restaurant to borrow take out trays just for us. That level of service is rarely achieved in downtown. The environment & the staff made me want to stay all night. Infact the tacos didn’t even make it home we finished the take out order before we left. 10/10 you guys rock!
